I highly recommend Advanced Eye Care. I have never, in my life, had as remarkable an eye exam experience as I did at Advanced Eye Care. The young lady who completed all of my preliminary testing and gathering of information was OUTSTANDING! She took such great care of me and was very personable, friendly, and professional. I understand her job entails assisting the Dr while with the patient, but this young lady would not only take copious notes, she also spoke about things that were relevant and very important in my case and I’m so grateful for her! Dr. Thompson went above and beyond as far as I’m concerned. She completed a thorough eye examination, and went to great lengths to explain the findings. She was very patient and took time to explain how I can be more proactive in maintaining the health of my eyes. I learned so much from these eye care specialists! The gentleman who helped me choose my glasses was so kind and patient. He offered genuinely helpful suggestions and even stayed late to get my order in. All around phenomenal experience! Best eye doctor in San Antonio TX that have been blessed with.This office has equipment to make sure your eyesight is good. I had a concussion and they caught something that if gone undiagnosed would have been very bad. Everyone is professional and doing this with warmth and caring.

I started seeing Dr Thompson in approximately 1985 she is an exceptional doctor. She is very knowledgeable, honest, sincere, ethical, professional, analytical, conscientious, and really cares about her patients. She has helped me with necessary referrals and provided outstanding care to me for years. I wouldn't replace her for anyone. She is a blessing and I trust her completely as she is proactive and ensured you get the treatment you need to take good care of your eyesight as there is no replacement for your eyes this is of great importance.

I had a great experience there. I had a dry condition that took 5 years to find the right treatment until I met Dr. Thompson in 2019. Dr. Thompson is very knowledgeable and gave me a treatment that has helped immensely. Previous physicians just told me to "stop wearing eye make up and contacts". That medical advice wasn't beneficial to me long-term as it didn't give me insight on how to reduce my symptoms and be able to use contacts again. I always had good eye hygiene and tried various eye sensitive make up to figure out what was flaring up my issues. It wasn't just the make up! It was Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) and I needed a completely new eye regiment.
